The study process takes place according to the following academic regulations:

In order to help you, we arrange an orientation program before the official start of the first term.  The program covers essential information about POMOR and orientation at the Saint Petersburg State University.  During the orientation program you will meet POMOR alumni and staff who will be available to help and advise you. We hope that you will then be ready to begin your studies here with confidence and with many new friends and contacts.

Lectures, seminars, practical training, excursions and examinations during the first and secоnd term are held by academic staff from:

The third semester takes place at the Hamburg University in the framework of the M.Sc. Integrated Climate System Sciences of or at one of the partner universities (Bremen, Kiel, and Potsdam).

During the last study semester students are writing their master thesis supervised by a Russian and a German advisor. After the successful master thesis defence students are awarded the Master degree of Saint Petersburg State University and Master of Science of Hamburg University. The degree award usually takes place in October at Saint Petersburg State University.
