A POMOR master thesis published as a paper

We are happy to announce that the master thesis by Dmitrii Pantyukhin (POMOR VIII, graduated in 2019), Mapping Arctic benthic community distribution patterns in relation to environmental drivers, using the model-based multi-species ’Regions of Common Profile’ (RCP) approach, is published as a paper.

Congratulations to Dmitrii!

Dmitrii Pantikhin graduated from POMOR in October 2019. After several a research stays at GEOMAR, Kiel University and AWI, in August 2020 he started his PhD at the Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Center for Polar and Marine Research investigating the distribution of gelatinous plankton in the Arctic Ocean.

New study year and new POMOR group (POMOR X)

We are very happy to welcome the new POMOR group, POMOR X (2021-2023)!

All new students will receive a welcome email later this month.

Summer break in the POMOR Secretariat

POMOR Secretariat at Saint Petersburg State University will be closed from Monday, August 23, 2021 until Monday, September 6, 2021.

Important information for students: If you need a place to work on your thesis and want to print it out, you are very welcome to use the Otto Schmidt Laboratory (upon appointment). Please check your e-mails for further information.
